ADULT WARD MANAGER
JOB TITLE: Adult ward manager
WORKPLACE: Mogalakwena Private Hospital (Mokopane)
POSITION TYPE: Permanent
Purpose: To lead and manage the adult wards, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care, while supervising staff, optimizing resources, and maintaincompliance with hospital policies, clinical standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Manage daily ward operations to ensure efficient workflow, adequate staffing, and seamless coordination between multidisciplinary teams.
- Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care in adhering to clinical practices, hospital protocols, and accreditation standards.
- Lead, supervise and support staff, including performance appraisals, mentoring, training, and staff scheduling.
- Ensure full compliance with hospital policies, ethical guidelines, regulatory requirements, maintain accurate documentation, and reporting.
- Monitor patient and admissions, discharges, and bed management, optimizing patient flow and minimizing delays.
- Maintain infection prevention and control, risk management, and continuous quality improvement initiatives within the ward.
- Implement and review improvement strategies, using patient feedback, clinical audits, and performance metrics to enhance overall patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Matric Certificate.
- Relevant SANC Certification.
Experience:
- 3 years proven experience as an Adult Ward Unit Manager in a hospital.
