THEATRE UNIT MANAGER
JOB TITLE: THEATRE MANAGER
WORKPLACE: Mogalakwena Private Hospital (Mokopane)
POSITION TYPE: Permanent
Purpose: To lead and manage the operating theatre unit by ensuring clinical excellence, effective staff supervision, optimal resource utilization, regulatory compliance, and delivery of safe high quality patient care in accordance with standards set by SANC and the hospitals policies and procedures.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Oversee and maintain high standards of patient care, clinical governance, infection control, and compliance with statutory and hospital regulations.
- Manage theatre operations, including staff allocation, equipment factuality, facility readiness, and efficient utilization of operating rooms.
- Lead and performance manage staff through workplace planning, productivity monitoring, training, recruitment support, support, and application of disciplinary processes.
- Control and monitor the unit budget, expenditure, revenue performance, stock management, and cost-containment measures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the doctors and internal departments to enhance service delivery and patient volumes.
- Ensure effective reporting, asset management, legislative compliance, and continuous quality improvement within the unit.
Qualifications:
- Matric Certificate.
- Relevant SANC certification.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience working experience as a Theatre Unit Manager.

- Strong clinical leadership and sound decision-making ability.
- Financial and operational management and performance oversight.
- Effective staff management and performance oversight.
- Strong patient centered approach with a caring attitude.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
