THEATER STOCK CONTROLLER
JOB TITLE: Theatre Stock Controller
WORKPLACE: Mogalakwena Private Hospital (Mokopane)
POSITION TYPE: Permanent
Purpose: To manage, control, and optimize all pharmaceutical, surgical, and high-value theatre stock within the operating theatre environment, ensuring accurate inventory control, cost management, compliance, and uninterrupted surgical services.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Manage receipts, verification, recording and secure of all theatre pharmaceutical surgical and confinement stock.
- Reconcile post-surgery stock usage with theatre documentation to ensure accurate billing and revenue protection.
- Maintain accurate stock records, pricing, implant registers, batch numbers, expiry dates, and full traceability.
- Reconcile post-surgery stock usage with theatre documentation to ensure accurate billing and revenue protection.
- Investigate stock variances, billing discrepancies, and report irregularities.
- Monitor stock levels, conduct cycle counts and stock takes, and minimum and maximum levels.
- Ensure compliance with expiry control, cold chain management. And safe storage regulations.
- Lease with suppliers regarding discrepancies, urgent orders, and back orders.
- Provide stock usage, variance and budgeting reports to support theatre operations.

Qualifications:
- Matric Certificate.
- Relevant qualifications in either Pharmacy, Supply Chain management, stock control or logistics.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Theatre Stock Controller.
Skills and Attributes:
- Stock control and inventory management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to identify and resolve variances quickly.
- Good understanding of hospital billing and revenue processes.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
