ENROLLED NURSE AND ENROLLED NURSING ASSISTANT
JOB TITLE: EN AND ENA
WORKPLACE: Mogalakwena Private Hospital (Mokopane)
POSITION TYPE: Permanent
Purpose:
EN: Deliver nursing care within the scope of practice under the supervision of a RN, administering prescribed treatments and supporting comprehensive patient care in accordance with SANC regulations and hospital protocols.
ENA: Provide fundamental patient care within the scope of practice, assisting with daily activities and supporting the nursing team to ensure patient comfort, safety, and dignity in line with SANC standards.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Deliver safe age-appropriate patient care within the scope of practice, including assessment, monitoring, and reporting of clinical changes.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and ensure correct patient identification, allergy checks, and procedural verification.
- Monitor vital signs and promptly escalate abnormalities or clinical concerns to the Registered Nurse.
- Adhere strictly to infection control, health and safety, risk management, and aseptic practices.
- Support safe patient transfers, post-procedure care, and continuity of care.
- Ensure proper handling of equipment, stock, consumables, and linen, including restocking and preparation for subsequent shifts.
Qualifications:
- Matric Certificate
- Relevant SANC Certification
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ multi-disciplinary working experience in a private hospital
Skills and Attributes:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work sensitively with people of different backgrounds.
- Strong patient centered approach with a caring attitude.
- A solid and clear understanding for patient confidentiality
