CSSD PACKER
JOB TITLE: CSSD Packer
WORKPLACE: Mogalakwena Private Hospital (Mokopane)
POSITION TYPE: Permanent
Purpose:
• Function as an active member of the CSSD team, rotating across all departmental areas to support service delivery, apply sterilisation and disinfection standards, assist with staff training and oversee safe, efficient operations when required.
Key Performance Indicators:
• Deliver high-quality patient care by ensuring timely, compliant sterilisation services in line with infection control standards and department protocols.
• Perform rotational duties across all CSSD areas, ensuring accurate documentation, equipment tracking, and adherence to sterilisation and recall procedures.
• Support effective departmental operations through collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, clear communication of risks or deviations, and participation in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with equipment maintenance, stock control, and consumable management to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
• Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
•Matric Certificate
•CSSD Training Certificate would be an advantage
Experience:
• Previous experience as a CSSD washer in a private hospital for a minimum of 2 years.
Skills and Attributes:
- Attention to detail to prevent potential surgical infections.
- Reliability and responsibility ensuring all tasks are completed.
- Ability to collaborate with operating theatre staff.
- Exercise caution when handling delicate and sharp equipment.
