THEATER ANESTHETIC REGISTERED NURSE
JOB TITLE: THEATER ANESTHETIC RN
WORKPLACE: Mogalakwena Private Hospital (Mokopane)
POSITION TYPE: Permanent
Purpose: To deliver safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care within the operating theatre environment, ensuring patient safety, sterility, multidisciplinary collaboration, and compliance with the scope of practice as regulated by SANC.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Deliver safe anesthetic nursing care in accordance with hospital policies and the scope of practice regulated by SANC.
- Ensure patience safety through comprehensive pre-op, during-op and post-op monitoring, including accurate identification, clinical assessment, airway management, and prompt reporting of abnormalities.
- Maintain a sterile theatre environment, adhere to infection prevention and control standards, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Prepare, manage, and monito theatre equipment, anesthetic supplies, scheduled medications, and consumables to ensure operational efficiency and legal compliance.
- Complete accurate clinical documentation, report incidents timeously, support risk management processes and promote effective multidisciplinary collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Matric Certificate
- Relevant SANC certification
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a private hospital as a theatre anesthetic nurse in a private hospital.
Skills and Attributes:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work sensitively with people of different backgrounds.
- Strong patient centered approach with a caring attitude.
- A solid and clear understanding for patient confidentiality.
- Fully Conversant with private hospitals, theatre procedures and policies.
