THEATRE FLOOR REGISTERED NURSE
JOB TITLE: THEATRE FLOOR RN
WORKPLACE: Mogalakwena Private Hospital (Mokopane)
POSITION TYPE: Permanent
Purpose: Provide and coordinate safe, high-quality nursing care within the operating theatre, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through clinical excellence, effective teamwork, and adherence to theatre, infection control and regulatory standards.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Ensure theatres are clean, staffed, equipped and prepared for safe and efficient procedures.
- Deliver high quality patient care through accurate documentation, medication administration and strict infection control practices.
- Coordinate theatre activities and patient flow according to surgical lists and clinical requirements.
- Manage theatre stock, equipment, and controlled medications to support cost control and accurate billing.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless theatre operations.
- Identify, report and manage operational, clinical, and medical legal risks in line with hospital policies.
Qualifications:
- Matric Certificate
- Relevant SANC certification
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years working experience within a private hospitals theatre
Skills and Attributes:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work sensitively with people of different backgrounds.
- Strong patient centered approach with a caring attitude.
- Has a solid and clear understanding for patient confidentiality.
- Exceptional knowledge of theatre procedures and policies within the private sector.
