STOCK CONTROLLER
JOB TITLE: Stock Controller
WORKPLACE: Mogalakwena Private Hospital (Mokopane)
POSITION TYPE: Permanent
Purpose:
- Ensure the smooth operation of the medical store pharmacy and surgical division by coordinating all stock processes, maintaining accurate records, and delivering efficient, professional service all the time.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Manage all incoming pharmaceutical and surgical stock, ensuring accurate recording and proper shelving.
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve discrepancies and maintain detailed communication records.
- Generate and supervise barcoding of stock, ensuring correct labelling and organization.
- Maintain accurate billing and stock documentation, including invoices, billing sheets, and stock master files.
- Assist wards with stock management, queries and day-to-day stock requirements.
- Co-ordinate and participate in cycle and quarterly stock takes to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Audit, monitor and replenish stock levels.
- Monitor expiry dates regularly.
Qualifications:
- Matric Certificate.
- Tertiary qualification in supply chain, Logistics, Pharmacy, or Health Administration is an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years working experience as a stock controller in a private hospital.
Skills and Attributes:
- Proven ability to maintain accurate stock records and preform data entry.
- Technical inventory management.
- Analytical capabilities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of safety practices and handling of medication, stock, medical and pharmaceutical stock.
