GROUNDS CARE CONSULTANT
JOB TITLE: GROUNDS CARE CONSULTANT
WORKPLACE: Mogalakwena Private Hospital (Mokopane)
POSITION TYPE: Permanent
Purpose: To oversee and maintain the hospital’s external grounds, ensuring all outdoor areas are safe, impeccably maintained and aesthetically pleasing, contributing to a professional image and a therapeutic, welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Maintain plant beds and monitor plant health, including watering, pruning and pest control.
- Ensure car park is well maintained and nurtured, including surrounding landscaping and cleanliness.
- Centre gardens must be manicured, including regular mowing, trimming and edging.
- Ensure areas are clean, safe and aesthetically pleasing, including routine inspections and hazard reporting.
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Practical experience in plant care, maintenance and tool usage.
Skills and Attributes:
- Physical stamina with the ability to perform manual outdoor work for extended periods.
- Attention to detail, ensuring consistently neat and well-presented grounds.
- Horticultural knowledge, including plant care, maintenance techniques and seasonal requirements.
- Safety awareness, with adherence to health and safety regulations and safe equipment handling.
